WHAT: The "oh, it's you again"
WARNING(S): TBD
Two years ago an American private security firm was forced to hire out. Said firm paid under the table to get rid of a problem for an important client that went beyond the excessive bureaucracy keeping them from a satisfactory end. To put it succinctly Hanzo was hired, under an assumed name, for wet work. This firm had a military contractor breathing down their necks to take care of a problem that had been plaguing them for years. Some lowlifes out in the Southwestern desert were trafficking weapons and military-grade hardware over the Pacific. Rivals to the also infamous Deadlock gang. Apparently they used to be an even bigger problem twenty years ago, but Overwatch had stomped them out when they went after Deadlock. No Overwatch and of course they slithered back out of whatever hole they crawled in.
Things had immediately gone sideways when it was not only Hanzo they hired out to. Someone had actually approached the firm and offered his services for lower than average on assassinations. Essentially undercutting Hanzo out of the gate enough that they all but made this mystery man in charge of operations. Even worse it was some out of time gunslinger in garish clothing and an attitude like he had never taken anything seriously in his life. To say Hanzo was not thrilled by the night of job when he met his stopgap associate was an understatement. For nearly the entire time from the briefing on their target to its completion, Hanzo always had a criticism at the ready. Hanzo must have exhausted every insult at his disposal by the time they managed to cut the head off the snake in some hole in the wall bar out in Arizona.
The blood on the floor hadn't even dried when Hanzo said if he never met the trigger happy cowboy again in his life it would be too soon. Almost all the animosity had come from Hanzo, but in the end they had not exactly parted on friendly terms. Two years went by and a lot had happened enough for Hanzo to forget the matter entirely. He was preoccupied enough with finding out Genji was alive, and his eventual following Genji to Gibraltar when the recall came out. Hanzo never gave Overwatch much thought, but now where Genji went he felt compelled to follow.
"You don't need to parade me around," Hanzo said to Genji in Japanese. The pair of them walking the halls soon after Athena registered Hanzo into the system as the second Agent Shimada.
While Genji was content with the bridges being built with his brother however slowly, Hanzo was ill at ease to be here. After a terse conversation with Genji's friend, the sanctimonious omnic monk, Hanzo had enough of introductions for one day. Although Genji had made mention of one of their top agents making a return. Someone his brother spoke highly of as a shrewd, intelligent agent with devastating talent in the field. The way Genji sung this man's praises even Hanzo was looking to meet him.
"Ah! Here he is," Genji switched to English when a man rounded the corner. Hanzo turned to look when-
"....You?"
